Application FAQs

Do I have to apply online?
This is the most efficient and accurate way to enroll; however it is not required. All families are strongly encouraged to apply online. Applications can be printed and submiteed to the school office or online, but please don't do both.

Is there an application fee?
No. The application is free and does not obligate you to any requirements.

If I have more than one child, do I have to complete more than one form?
Yes. However, only changes need to be submitted. The office will use the information provided for the oldest child unless changes are submitted.

How do I know my application was received by Apostles?
You will receive a confirmation email within 5 business days confirming your application.

What happens now?
Our principal will contact you to set a meeting to discuss the varied aspects of the school and its policies. Then the application is taken before the School Board for approval.

Why does my child have to undergo an academic assessment?
This is a non-threatening way for our teachers to identify how to best serve your child. This should not be regarded as an analysis of a student's IQ. Kindergarten students will take our regular Kindergarten Assessment; students in grades 1-8 will take a portion of the Terra Nova 3 test.

What is the BIC class?
This eight lesson class provides instruction on the foundational teachings of our church. It's required within the first year of all new families so parents can fully understand the Christian teachings their children will receive each day.

What is the singing in church requirement?
Each class sings in church a handful of times each year. Parents are asked to bring their children to the these worship services so their child can participate.

Are there any other enrollment requirements?
The only other requirement is to pay tuition and any misc. fees in a timely manner. There are no required volunteer hours or other requirements.

What if I need financial assistance?
Apostles never wants finances to stand in the way of a Christian education. Read more about our assistance program.

Registration FAQs

Do I have to submit forms online?
Yes, all forms are required to be submitted through FACTS.

What if I don't have computer access?
Call the school office, and we'll help make arrangements for you.

If I have more than one child, do I have to complete more than one form?
To register, you will be asked to complete one family and one additional form for each child enrolled. As stated previously, all of these forms will be completed through FACTS .

What monies are due at registration?
No fees are due payable when the packet is submitted. Once the packet has been submitted you will recieve an invoice from FACTS. The Early Bird credit applies to those families who pay their enrollment and registration fees by the last day of the current school year.

How do I pay my fees?
Fees are payable to FACTS. You will receive an invoice to pay according the payment method selected when you created the FACTS account.

Who is eligible for the $100 automatic payment discount?
Families that select ACH (automatic monthly bank debits) or automatic credit card payments for their monthly tuition payments will receive the $100 discount.

What if I've applied for financial assitance?
Financial assistance forms and IRS paperwork are due by April 15. Financial assistance packages will be awarded in early May. Each applying family will be notified of their grant and this information will be input into FACTS by the school office. No assistance can be awarded without verification by IRS forms and a signed agreement contract.

Financial Assistance FAQs

What is the mission of tuition assistance grants?
The mission is to provide the capability for all families, even low-income earners, to attend Apostles Lutheran School.

Who qualifies?

  1. Families whose children are in grades K-8.
  2. Families must be accepted as students at Apostles Lutheran School.

Am I required to be a member of Apostles Lutheran Church?
No, nor is there pressure to join the Apostles Lutheran Church. Of course, all families interested in a closer relationship with God are invited to attend Apostles.

What agreement will the family have to make to be enrolled in our school?
Families who receive assistance must agree to meet all the regular school requirements and agree to all terms listed on the grant contract.

What grant amounts will families receive?
Families will receive a grant based on need.

What does the grant cover? What does the grant not cover?
The assistance package covers tuition payments for the year. It does not cover books, t-shirts, supplies, field trip fees, or any optional expenses.

Do assistance packages cover multiple years?
The grant is awarded on a yearly basis. Families may apply each year.

What documents need to be submitted to FACTS?
Please submit the most recent tax returns as well as W2 forms for both spouses. If applicable the following should also be submitted: Social Security income, Workers' Compensation, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, and/or TANF.

Where do I submit my tax documents?
Please sumbit them directly to FACTS. Address can be found on the Financial Assistance page.

What if I don't submit my tax and income documentation?
The application for assistance will not be considered.

Who do I contact with questions?
